Transportation Assistance
Fueling their new adventure
Many of our program graduates find themselves released on the streets of downtown Fort Worth with no reliable transportation. Getting to a new home and new employment is difficult without having a vehicle of their own. Our Transportation Assistance program helps highly qualified individuals shift into their new lives quicker.
Here’s Where
We Do It
Our previously incarcerated friends are ready to start down a new path—one of self-sufficiency through honest work. The problem? Lack of transportation is often a barrier to successful reentry into society. Without a reliable vehicle of their own, it’s much harder to get to job interviews, attend counseling and experience other support services that ensure seamless reintegration. This is where we step in.
1
Intense Screening
Strict qualifications for vehicle assistance must be met before a vehicle is provided. We ensure our participants are fully vetted and ready to start a new life. We also check to make sure they have budgeted for things like auto insurance and maintenance.
2
Vehicles Provided
Some men are ready to step out in freedom of self-sufficiency but they just need a little help to get started. For these individuals, we provide a modest, pre-owned vehicle to help them on their way. We hold the lien on the title but the recipient is the owner.
