In Prison Programming
Successful Reentry Starts Inside
Real transformation first begins inside the prison walls. Turnkey Reentry Program uses a targeted curriculum and passionate volunteers to teach incarcerated men how to use their skills and talents for good in the community. Many of the men in our Reentry Program are military veterans with at least a GED level of education. They’ve gone down the wrong path but they aren’t hopeless. Our goal is simple: to help them envision a better future—a life of freedom through the value of honest work.
Here’s Where
We Do It
Our programming takes place specifically within the Green Bay Facility for Tarrant County Corrections in Fort Worth, Texas.
1
Intense Screening Process
Qualifications for entry into our programming ensure none of our participants have sex offenses, homicide, or aggravated assault charges brought against them. The screening process often reveals that many of our participants are also military veterans.
2
Trained Life Coaching
Our trained volunteers are passionate about the ministry they are involved in and seek to reach each man with the hope of a new future. Their goal is to help equip each man to reenter society with the skills they need for a seamless transition.
3
Targeted Curriculum
We teach the men basic life skills, financial fundamentals, and goal-setting. Many of us grew up in homes, schools and churches that modeled and instilled wise decision-making. In many cases, these men haven’t had someone teach them these valuable life skills. Our goal is to show them a better way.
Some of our classes include:
- Personal daily habits, decision-making and setting healthy boundaries
- Vocational skills like job applications and interviewing
- How to keep a job once you gain employment
- Saving, budgeting and other financial fundamentals
- Starting a small business
- Investing
